selffull gifts

I cant help but think about my own gift giving. I love to shop for other people, cook for other people. I spend a lot of time looking for or making "the perfect gift". But even though i like to do these things it hard to think of them as selfless, i do them in large part because I enjoy doing these things. Even the most generous acts resieve a sence of self satisfaction... of personal enjoyment. So even if you are not hoping for and actual reciprication it is imposible to not goet somthing out of the gift transaction.

I totally agree! I think people don't always want a gift in return, sometimes the smile a good deed can put on someones face is enough. You still want their appreciation their gratitude. And like you said it makes you feel good when you do for others. That being said I don't think any gift or act is entirely selfless.
